VW ID.4 Fire Officer Vehicles

RVC was commissioned to convert a fleet of Volkswagen ID.4s for Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service, providing fully electric response vehicles for use by Fire Officers attending incidents across the county.

The conversion was designed to give officers a practical, modern and dependable vehicle that could support rapid response duties while maintaining the benefits of an electric platform. Specialist emergency warning equipment and operational systems were carefully integrated into the ID.4, creating a discreet yet highly capable vehicle suitable for responding to a wide range of incidents.

Particular attention was given to ensuring the conversion complemented the original vehicle, with equipment positioned and installed to maintain usability, driver comfort and the clean design of the ID.4. The finished vehicles provide Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service with a modern fire officer response solution, combining operational capability with the move towards lower-emission fleet vehicles.

The project is another example of RVC's experience delivering specialist conversions for UK fire and rescue services, supporting customers with vehicles designed around the real requirements of frontline operations.
