Commercial Vehicle Unit

RVC was commissioned by City of London Police to design and build a specialist vehicle for its Commercial Vehicle Unit, creating a purpose-built operational platform capable of supporting officers during roadside enforcement activity across the City of London.

This was a substantial and highly bespoke conversion, developed around the requirements of the team and the demanding environment in which the vehicle would operate. Rather than simply providing transport, the vehicle was designed to act as a dedicated mobile operational base, giving officers the space, functionality and infrastructure required to carry out specialist commercial vehicle enforcement work in the field.

Every aspect of the conversion was carefully considered around the end user, creating a practical and professional working environment while ensuring the finished vehicle was capable of supporting long periods of operational deployment.

The completed vehicle provides City of London Police with a highly capable specialist resource to support the Commercial Vehicle Unit's work tackling unsafe and non-compliant commercial vehicles and helping improve safety across some of the busiest roads in the capital.

For RVC, the project was another opportunity to demonstrate our ability to take a unique operational requirement and develop a completely bespoke vehicle solution around it.
