Essex Police approached RVC to completely overhaul their Ford Transit Commercial Vehicle Unit after the original conversion had become dated and no longer met the team's operational requirements.
We stripped the entire interior back and started again from scratch, redesigning the vehicle around how it is deployed and used in the field. The original conversion relied on generators to provide 240V power while on site, so we replaced this with a high-performance auxiliary power system, giving the team a cleaner, quieter and more practical source of power during operations.
The refit also included a completely refreshed IT system, a dedicated heating system for the control space and additional extraction fans to improve ventilation and comfort.
The result is a fully modernised mobile working environment, giving Essex Police a more capable, reliable and practical platform for commercial vehicle enforcement operations.
